The IA is the leading voice representing Internet companies in the 50 states. The IA has a 10-year track record of blocking or mitigating legislation detrimental to the Internet and e-commerce, and a high level of expertise in the Internet state tax area.

The IA seeks to empower and educate state legislators about the nature of the Internet so they can make informed decisions, while preventing short-sighted laws that will hurt both the industry and consumers.
